We measure work in Dialogs Units (DU). One DU is one unit of senior engineering effort. Our standard rate is $175/DU, and there are two easy ways to pay less: buy ahead, or commit to a monthly retainer.
Pre-Pay Discounts
Save up to 10% simply by paying up front.
For clients who recharge their accounts with pre-paid DU, the more you buy, the less you pay per unit.

Although our online catalog shows packs of 10, 50, and 100 DU, we're happy to prepare a custom invoice for any amount — just reach out. Any DU left in your account at month's end is applied to that month's charges. If your balance doesn't cover the work done, you're invoiced for the remainder at the standard rate of $175/DU. Pre-paid DU must be in your account before invoices are generated, on or about the first of each month.
Retainer Agreements — our best offer

A monthly retainer reserves senior resources for your projects whenever you need them, evens out your cash flow, and simplifies budget planning. Purchased Dialogs Units stay in your account until you use them — they never expire.

The program requires an annual commitment of 12 monthly purchases (minimum 25 DU/month), with all payments made in advance of work completed. Need more work than your retainer in a given month? We'll invoice the extra at your low contract rate, as resources allow. Unused monthly effort doesn't roll forward, and each month's retainer payment is due for the full term.
After-hours & emergency
Emergency maintenance requests and after-hours availability bill at 1.5× the applicable billing-code rate. On-call availability after hours bills at 0.5× the applicable rate.
